i think to reply in English is fine, coz i've seen people reply in english before and caused no trouble.

I don't recall reading in the rules saying that replying in English is wrong. I think maybe because the post was too short? Or perhaps no relevant to the topic?

If it was a simple "Thank you for your post", then that contributes close to nothing and shows you're really just posting for the sake of getting gold. Posts like that are what we call "Spam". They do nothing for the original topic poster, and just takes up space.
When replying, try and actually say something relevant to the topic. There's also a minimum length required which makes sense because there is no way you can wrap up constructive criticism or comments within several tiny words.

Well, I think everyone should try to reply in Chinese (other than in this section).

One Chinese IME that I found very light weight but yet very powerful in words guessing is the Google Pinyin. It is a freeware, just do a search, download and install, try it and I am sure you will find it useful.
